Unnerving, but cool!

Thank you for playing!!

An atmospheric, moody experience with an intriguing story. I did not finish the game as I had ended after the first death and only realized after. Great job devs and looking forward to more from you! I will pay a revisit and finish the game when I have the opportunity!

We hope you complete it and get to see the real ending. Thanks for playing, and best regards!

Hi! Game composer giving feedback here!

Awesome project this one man! Simple and solid.

The dark hand-drawn but with a few tints of colours really made it stand out IMO.

The game mechanics were good enough and I'd say you could go on and expand the game with medium-to-hard puzzles, maybe even avoiding harder ones as there are an audience that prefer to appreciate the narrative, story and aesthetics instead of doing brainy work! (myself included in there).

One potential criticism regarding the foundation of the game, is to make the presence of monsters a little bit less and focus on that "being stuck in rut" theme, which could totally unfold in a slow-burn horror game. Although I understand that for a jam you need to be quick and to the point, so that would be an idea for a further expansion of the game.

Now let's go over my specialty, which is music and sound.

The SFX were okay, but could be improved, depending if a more complex sound pallete would be desired as being part of the overall game aesthetics.

The music also sounded okay, I suppose that free assets were used since they just keep looping the first 2-4 measures without motivic or thematic variation, that works if you want to "play it safe", but can become boring after longer minutes of gameplay.

That's it, good job!

Hi, we're glad you liked the game overall, and especially the graphic design.

We have some ideas to expand the game, but we still don't know exactly how we'll go about it.

Most of the sound was made over two afternoons, where we had to record everything, edit, mix, and test it in the game.

All the music was composed by us, as we never use external resources (except plugins). They're simple melodies that never repeat for less than 8 bars, and that's a design choice since it's a really short game. In fact, there are melodies that never get fully heard during the game.

Thanks for your feedback!

Oh, if you did it all that's awesome! Congratz!

found something...

Oh, ok, the missing word is 'fight'. It's already fixed :)

Thanks for noticing us about it!

Hello there. This was one of the more interesting games in this game jam.

Spoilers.

At first I didnt think it would be a side scroller but here we are. Liked the change of pase in that regard. Took me a bit to get the story but overall that was good aswell. Something different then what I have played so far atleast. The only thing really is that No where as far as I know is the name of the main character. While its a small thing that kinda says alot. I dont really have that much advise to give here. You did a good job with a solid 20 min game.

Final thoughts

Great game. Only thing I like to see/Know is the main characters name. Could be that I just missed it but if not. Thats the only thing

Hope this helps. Keep it up

We are very happy that you found it so interesting!! The protagonist's name and relationship with Selene are never specified, this was a conscious decision to help the player step into their shoes and give more weight to the girl. Thank you so much for taking the time to give us your feedback, we really appreciate it. :)
